A Whole New World Has Begun!

I wanted to dedicate a site just for my child, something what will grow as she grows, something that she will one day read for herself.

A Trip into NYC to See The Singing Tree

A weekend in December brought us into The Big Apple to see The Big Apple Chorus on The Singing Holiday Tree...with none other than Jayden's Dadoo! First, it was a stop at Pier 17 with a view of The Brooklyn Bridge. Jayden's Tante was in for a holiday visit as well. A wonderful dinner was had by all.

It was a cold day, so Jayden bundled up to watch Dadoo sing. Mommy and Daddy also
bundled up for the show.

Jayden met with Santa while at South Street. I don't think she liked the meeting, she wouldn't even look at Santa! Perhaps next year she'll warm up to Jolly O' Saint Nick.

Decorating Our Christmas Tree

December 8th we got our Christmas Tree. The next day we all decorated it. Jayden picked out the balls she wanted to put on the tree. Mommy and Daddy helped her put them on. She was just so amazed at the blinking lights as Daddy strung them on the tree. When all the trimmings were hung, we hoped that Saint Nick would soon come!

Christmas Card Picture

This year's Christmas Card picute was taken incidental. Mom-Mom gave Jayden a snow globe and just happened to have a camera in her hand! The expression on her face was classic! We just had to use it!

Pine Plains Tree Decorating

It was the annual trip to Pine Plains, NY for the Annual Pine Plains Tree Decorating and Light Parade. Olivia can be seen decorating the family tree outside the antique shop. Jayden loved seeing the Reindeer and riding in Santa's sleigh. Mommy, Daddy and Jayden loved poising while Jayden sat in the sleigh. Once the sun went down so did the temperature! Boy was it cold! It was time for the light parade...how beautiful!

Walt Disney Trip

What a treat! What a wonder! Veteran's Day Weekend was spent with Mickey, Minny and the entire crew from Disney! Aunt Chrisann and Uncle Herman have a time share and were able to
have us join them on this marvelous adventure. (Although I wouldn't suggest going during this time again...the plane fare is outrageous!)
There was the daily "Wish Upon A Time" parade and we had lunch with the characters of Winny The Pooh! Jayden was afraid of most of the characters except little Marie of The Aristocats!
Jayden and Nicholas had so much fun in Epcot traveling all over the world! We also had lunch
in a rain forest in Downtown
Disney!

Halloween 2007

Halloween was a bit different this year. Since weekend travel engrossed much of the weekends in October, we took a breather and postponed The Annual Halloween Bash. We still went pumpkin picking at a local farm in the town mommy grew up in though. Jayden picked out her pumpkin as usual.
Mommy took off Halloween day from work to take Jayden to visit Daddy at work and Mom-Mom at work too! Our 50's theme had Mommy, Daddy and Jayden dressed to a tee! Pink Lady & T-Bird alike!

Maryland Renaissance Faire

Columbus Day Weekend: The annual pilgrimage to Crownsville, Maryland for The Maryland Renaissance Faire. The usual crew traveled with us...Jayden made a new friend dancing with Phoenix (in the red/yellow and black). Jayden was sporting her new dress that Mom-Mom and Dadoo bought her at The New York Renaissance Faire back in September. Trakker and Lady Jewel poise for a picture...as did Jayden!

The Rouges, a Celtic musical group, entertained the crowds once more as we enjoyed eating apple dumplings with ice cream. Fried mac & cheese, pork chops on a stick, fried mushrooms and of course cookies & milk were among the favorite treats to eat!
