A Whole New World Has Begun!
I wanted to dedicate a site just for my child, something what will grow as she grows, something that she will one day read for herself.

Christmas Eve 2008-Cookies For Santa
Silent Night... Christmas Eve once again. This year was very exciting for Jayden! It was the first time she actually understood who Santa is, or shall I say 'what' he means for her age group. Making an extra effort to be a 'good listener' and 'nice' was her main concern this year so that Santa would leave her the presents she asked for in her letter (see previous entry).
Mommy made Christmas Eve dinner with Aunt Chrisann, Uncle Herman, Nicholas and Uncle Herman's Dad, Aunt Eva, Danielle, Michael and Jennifer in attendance. Uncle Chippy couldn't make it again this year as he had to work. We had a very special visit from Santa himself after dinner!!
After everyone left, Mommy and Jayden packed up and went to Mom-Mom and Dadoo's. (This is something new we are trying this year to keep Mommy occupied from thinking about her late Daddy). Daddy came a bit latter after putting some toys together. During that time, Dadoo, Jayden and Mommy fixed a plate of chocolate chip cookies and lactaid milk for Santa! We gathered everything together and left them by the fireplace. Jayden was so excited that it was difficult for her to fall asleep... in fact, she didn't fall asleep until almost midnight!! Very, very late for her.

Holiday School Show 2008
December 18th: Jayden's first school Holiday Show! "The Big Book of Holiday Gifts" was the name of the play. All the children did wonderfully! Some were dressed like Princess Barbies, some were Action Figures. There were power tools for the dads. Jayden was one of the "Fruit of the Month" group for the grandparents. She was dressed as a blueberry since her favorite color is blue. Mommy made Jayden's costume. There was singing and dancing. At the end was a very special visit from Santa!! This year Jayden actually sat on his lap and even talked to Santa!!

Letter to Santa & Christmas Photo Shoot 2008
November 30: This year we wrote a letter to Santa Claus and mailed it to the North Pole! Mommy sat with the paper and pen while Jayden dictated what she wanted to say. She started out wishing Santa a Happy Birthday...hmmm...does she know something the rest of us don't?! Jayden was very deliberate in her letter keeping it short and sweet!
Halloween Week 2008
At last...a Halloween that Jayden isn't sick!
What a treat it was for Jayden this year! Mommy took the day off from work (as she does every Halloween) and brought Jayden to the Halloween Party at work. Dressed as a princess in the dress Mom-mom had made, she sported her trick or treat bag and went visiting! There was just so much food, so many treats that Jayden burst out in song n' dance.
Afterwards it was off to Aunt Chrisann's. Jayden experienced what it was like to actually go "trick o'treating". She was so excited she couldn't contain her self running from house to house saying, "Happy Halloween" in hopes of getting her bag filled with treats!
It was once again time for the 'Tiny Tots Halloween Bash' on Nov.1. Imagine 21 children all between the ages of 2 and 5 in your home for 3 hours! The day was filled with pumpkin decorating, fake tattoos and a Bat pinata! For the party, Mommy, Daddy and Jayden dressed from the 1950's.
