Graduation From "Little People's Day School" Pre-K

June 18th the big day!

Little People's put on a play "The Jersey Shore" before the Graduation Ceremonies. Jayden was an 'eater'... she was part of the group that ate different foods found down at the Jersey Shore. There was singing and dancing.

For the Graduation Ceremony, the kids walked in to "Pomp & Circumstance" wearing real caps with tassels and shirts with each child's name on them.

Jayden sang a solo..."Que Sera, Sera" and of course mommy cried. Grandma, Mommy, Daddy and Mom-Mom Lori came to see Jayden. Afterwards, we went out for lunch. Mommy & Jayden went for mani's & pedi's to celebrate.

Jayden's teachers were Miss Sharon and Miss Denise.

In September, Jayden will be in Kindergarten!!

Jayden's Dance Recital

Dance Stop had it's dance recital at The State Theatre in New Brunswick. Jayden's Tots Tap Too class performed "The Cod Fish Ball". Jayden's costume was silver and blue. She was center stage again this year!

Mommy helped Jayden get ready at home by putting on her make-up, costume and hair in a bun! Mommy was a back stage mom again. That ment getting to the theatre an hour early to greet all the other Cod Fish gals!
She was center stage again. We were so proud.

More Birthday Celebrations

Jayden was actually born on Mommy's best friend Gianine's birthday! Like Mommy, this year Gianine turned 40...there was a big party and Jayden helped to celebrate aunt Gianine's birthday.

The next day, May 2nd, was Daddy's birthday. It was also the day we celebrated Jayden's birthday party with friends. Jayden's party was at The Little Chocolatier in Morganville. It was a blast! The party began with decorating a chef's hat with markers and stickers. Then the real fun began with decorating a molded chocolate piece with a large assortment of colorful sprinkles and decorations. The fun continued with chocolate dipping of pretzels, cookies and other yummy goodies! Imagine 14 children doing this!! Each child was given a goodie bag to take home their sweet creations. Pizza, cupcakes, drinks and everything needed for the party was provided...Mommy didn't have to do anything!! How awesome is that?

After the party ended, Jayden said goodbye to her friends and we headed to Grandma's & Dadoo's house for dinner. Jayden opened up all her gifts. Her favorite one was a brand new princess bicycle from Grandma & Dadoo!!

Jayden's 5th Birthday

Wow...we can't believe Jayden is 5 years old today!! It is becoming a tradition on Jayden's birthday for Mommy to take off work and spend the day with her little girl.
Today, Jayden & Mommy first went to...you guessed it, Peter Pank Diner for breakfast. Jayden ordered her favorite "Happy Face Pancakes" and chocolate milk. Afterwards it was off to Fun Time America for playing games and going on rides. Jayden and Mommy had lots of fun on the Himalaya and winning tickets! After 3 hours, Jayden had enough tickets to pick out 3 prizes! What to do next? Jayden decided she wanted to go shopping...we went to "Toys R Us". Jayden picked out a Tinkerbell game for her Leapster. Since Jayden is so tall, she asked if she could have a big girl booster seat for the car instead of her little girl car seat. So, that is exactly what Mommy did...Jayden now has a big girl booster seat for the car.

When Daddy came home from work we all enjoyed pork chops with Mac n' Cheese at Jayden's request. It was such an exciting day!

Visiting the School Nurse

April 21st: It's quite the busy day...this morning Jayden had a class trip to the museum in New Brunswick. Now, it's off to visit the school nurse at Jayden's new school in September. In September, Jayden will start Kindergarten! How exciting! The school nurse greeted Jayden with a smile and asked her many questions about things she has learned in Pre-K. Mommy also spoke to the nurse. Soon Jayden was having her vision and hearing tested.

Jayden is now registered for Kindergarten!! Kindergarten orientation will be May 28th...

A Trip to The Museum

April 21: Jayden's class took a trip to the Museum in New Brunswick! Mommy went on the class trip too! It was exciting to learn about the art and sculptures on display at the museum. First the class listened to an intriguing story teller about the Gully Wolf and a little girl. The story teller explained how the little girl's mother told her daughter not to go wondering into the woods in fear the Gully Wolf would catch her. The little girl did not listen and entered the woods to pick flowers, deeper and deeper into the woods she went until...out jumped the gully wolf! It even made the Mommy's and Daddy's jump!! Finally, the little girl began to sing and once the wolf was a sleep...the little girl tiptoed back home.

Next, the class saw different art paintings and sculptures that were on display. It was an interactive adventure and the class learned many things about the paintings.

Finally, the children were able to express what they saw by drawing their interpretation of the day. There were many great pictures, some children drew about the Gully Wolf, some the paintings and others drew about the sculptures. Perhaps there maybe an artist in the making?!

After the class trip, Jayden, Mommy, Kaitlynn and her Mommy went for lunch at Peter Pank Diner. It was a yummy end to a fun filled day.

Hoping Down the Bunny Trail

Easter came once more to our house. Jayden woke up to find the Easter Bunny left her a basket full of exciting things...a miniature paint set, a picture frame art set, an artists note pad, and a chocolate bunny of course!

After a small breakfast, it was time to dress for Grandma & Dadoo's house for a big breakfast! On the way we picked up Noni. To Jayden's surprise, the Easter Bunny left all kinds of gifts at Grandma's house. There were over 3 dozen hidden easter eggs and small wrapped gifts all over the living room. Jayden found money, small trinkets, character socks, and small puzzles.

Aunt Sandy, Uncle Johny and JP came over for dinner. Afterwards, we took pictures.
