2010 Year In Review
We find ourselves wondering where the Year has gone and what do we have to show for it…for the Prestholdt’s, the latter part of this is not hard to imagine. It was another fun filled and exciting year.
The year started out unlike most, Jayden will remember January 18th as the day she had to say goodbye to her o' furry friend Samson. Samson was an extremely lovable domestic shorthair black cat. He had a history of kidney problems and finally fell to the disease. We will forever remember Samson as a loving cat that really acted like a dog!
Yes sir...February was the month of firsts for Jayden! February 15th Mommy had off from work so she, Jayden, Aunt Chrisann and Nicholas all when Roller Skating in a real Roller Rink! Jayden did fantastic! She didn't need to hold onto Mommy's hand nor the wall...she even 'danced' a little bit to the music as it played. Mommy decided to put roller skates on too and skated around the rink with Jayden.
In March, Jayden decided she wanted to try gymnastics this year. Mommy was both excited and weary at the same time. It was off to gymnastics to sign up. Two of Jayden's school friends also joined...Kaitlynn and Gracie. The first day was exciting! Mommy took lots of pictures and was so proud of her Little Ladybug! Also in March, Mommy survived her 40th birthday surrounded with a small family gathering. Not sure she’s settled into her new decade yet!
Jayden turned five in April with a chocolate factory experience with her friends! Imagine 17 five year olds making their own chocolate treats!
Dance Stop had their annual dance recital at The State Theatre in New Brunswick. Jayden's Tots Tap Too class performed "The Cod Fish Ball". Jayden's costume was silver and blue. She was center stage again this year!
June 18th the big day!
Little People's put on a play "The Jersey Shore" before the Graduation Ceremonies. For the Graduation Ceremony, the kids walked in to "Pomp & Circumstance" wearing real caps with tassels and shirts with each child's name on them. Jayden sang a solo..."Que Sera, Sera" and of course Mommy cried. Grandma, Mommy, Daddy and Mom-Mom Lori came to see Jayden. Afterwards, we went out for lunch. Mommy & Jayden went for mani's & pedi's to celebrate.
Also in June, Daddy was the recipient of Strathmore's Who's Who for Leadership and Achievement in Telecommunications, Telephony; nominated by his employer, The Children's Place.
By the time summer came along we were all ready for relaxation. There was Disneyland in California in July. Mommy went to the ASCLS National meeting in Anaheim and decided to bring the whole family along. August brought our ‘real’ vacation to Lake Tahoe. We stayed on the California side of the Lake. Jayden and Mommy enjoyed walks each morning while Daddy slept late.
September found Jayden starting Kindergarten toothless! That’s right; Jayden lost her first tooth days before school started. Jayden wasn’t the only one starting school this year. We don’t know what Mommy was thinking but she’s pursuing a Master’s in Health Systems at UMDNJ.
Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas were spent with family and friends.
We find ourselves looking forward to a new exciting year filled with joy, health, love and laughter and sharing it with you…our friends, family and loved ones.
Have a Blessed Holiday Season that continues to fill you and your family with happiness!
