A Whole New World Has Begun!

I wanted to dedicate a site just for my child, something what will grow as she grows, something that she will one day read for herself.

It's Pumpkin Picking Time

It's that time of year again, a time where all the leaves turn colors and all the children become excited because soon it'll be
All Hallows Eve...a night for dressing up and gathering as many treats as you can...that is until the neighbors realize that you've knocked on their door for the third time!! Halloween is mommy's favorite holiday and Halloween wouldn't be the same without a pumpkin! So....even though it's been raining for what seems to be a gazillion years, mommy and daddy took Jayden pumpkin picking on Saturday. It was very interesting to see Jayden's reaction...she didn't know what to make of this hard orange object! We only wished the sun was shining and dry so that we could let her out and sit in the pumpkin patch.

If you look real close at Jayden's ears you will also notice that we've gotten them pierced this past week. No...they aren't real diamonds, but considering our angle was born in April, I'm sure eventually she'll con us into buying her real ones soon enough!!

Entire Weekend with Grandma & Grandpa

Columbus Day weekend Jayden spent with grandma & grandpa while mommy and daddy took a mini vacation down to the Texas Renaissance Faire. Something tells me that Jayden may follow her mommy's footsteps and be a gymnast!!
Jayden just loves to look at pictures in her very own picture book that grammy put together.
Here's that sweet face eating cereal with grammy.
Have you met Louis & Clark? Jayden has and I'm sure grandpa told Jayden all about their travels of the 'Louis & Clark expedition'. Somehow, I didn't think they were that 'fussy'.
Jayden is such the ham and now seems to 'pose' for pictures as we see here. Hmm...could she be the next Christy Brinkley?

Sitting Up & Solid Food!

Time has come for my little darlin' to finally sit up for herself! All this time Jayden has been able to sit up with the support of others or if you took your hand away she would slowly topple over...but not this past weekend!! On Saturday, October 1st at my sister's house Jayden sat up alone, and stayed sitting up! Daddy and I were so proud of her and wanted to (what else) catch it on film just for your viewing pleasure...hehe, not really...it's for her scrapbook that I've been making.
Since Jayden can sit up by herself what better time to start her on solid food. This was on Sunday, October 2nd. Around 5:30pm-ish I put the blue dragon bib on Jayden, got her situated in her high chair and proceeded to feed her 1Tbsp of Rice Cereal mixed with formula. She absolutely LOVED IT!! It was if she couldn't get enough of the stuff...she was grabbing for the spoon and shoving it in her mouth that I really had a hard time holding it...you would've thought this kid didn't eat for a month! By the end, there was cereal all over her mouth, her hands, her hair in the high chair...we needed to give her a bath!
For the next 7 days we will continue to feed Jayden rice cereal once a day around 5:30pm before adding more solids.
