Family Vacation to New Orleans...
April: Family vacations are always tons of fun and laughter...this year we went to New Orleans from April 10th til the 14th. Dadoo had a Lewis & Clark Foundation meeting in New Orleans which prompted the trip. We stayed in La Belle Maison on Gravior Street just outside the French Quarter.
The first day we took a walk in the French Quarter...there was a festival going on...Jackson square, Decatur Street's French March Place and the River walk.
Jayden enjoyed the Louisiana Tour Company's Swamp Tour. She counted 15 alligator on our swamp tour! Captain Reggie looked just like "Uncle Al" from the balloon festival.
Don't forget the Swamp Creature...I think this is what it is suppose to look like!

The Aquarium of the Americas featured an IMAX film called "Deep Sea". What would being in New Orleans be without a walk down Bourbon Street and stopping at Fat Tuesday's for Pina Colada's.
The Audubon Zoo and Audubon Insectarium where both interesting places to visit. Butterflies in Flight was an Asian-inspired garden with hundreds of free-flight butterflies. The colors were spectacular.
Finally, we had breakfast at Cafe du Monde before heading back to the airport. Daddy ended up with an entire tray of hot coffee spilled down his back by a clumsy waitress.
